Has House gone into Chicago Hope territory? Last season things started to slow down, but I expected that they would speed up with the addition of the new doctors, and that maybe the show would get back into the "mystery diagnosis," format that it is famous for. However tonight's episode, was well not good. The mystery bus, and strange scenes with House attempting to figure out who was on it, felt awkward. House has always been a realistic show, and this episode was teetering on unrealistic and silly. Next week it looks like we get the will she live, will she die coma storyline, something which IMHO falls into daytime soap territory, and no longer works on prime time. It is starting to give me eerie flashbacks to the latter seasons of Chicago Hope, when we had musical episodes about aneurysms.

This gets me thinking, is it time for Hugh Laurie to leave? I know the title of the show is House, but many of the fans seem to be there for the ships? Would this show work simply as another ensemble medical drama, centered around Wilson, Cuddy, and the old and new crews of ducklings?

At least they haven't had a musical episode yet. I keep hoping that he will dump the others and rehire back cameron and chase. Except for Kal penn, these guys aren't making it for me.

Hmm, can't see him rehiring back the original Ducklings, in some ways the characters have moved on, and in a lot of ways the show has moved on. It would be unrealistic for them to remain Ducklings in House's nest forever.

He does have Foremann back anyway. At least they are still on the show and didn't vanish completely like most characters on Chicago Hope. Remember those interns that were featured once in a while? Like the ones who brought a horse into the hospital, and the one who had a thing for Shutt? Good times.

It is good that they are still on the show, and around. I think writing them out completely would have been a huge mistake. I remember the various cohorts of "interns," on Chicago Hope. I don't think they meant to make the ones with the horse from first season permanent figures. However I remember during season three, they brought an annoying group who did mysteriously vanish midseason. The one with the crush on Aaron, did you mean the punky nurse Maricella? She wasn't an intern, but an intended love interest for Aaron, which was just wrong on so many levels.
