fandom_counts, in case Six Apart ever decides to screw with us again! Yes, I know this all happened because of their inability to deal with controversial comms.
However, I'm worried that after Strikethrough_2007 what is next? What happens when one of the big movie studios,decides that they don't people using icons from their material? What happens when the RIAA decides to crackdown on fics and posts which include lyrics from various songs? Also will LJ decide to crack down all on fanfiction communities due to fears of copyright infringement?
Most people would probably have said no a few months ago, but after the way they caved to that grassroots organization, it makes me very skeptical.
