I can understand needing this in some types of schools, but do you think we have reached a time when every kid should have one?

Makes me nostalgic for my days in, when all I needed was a backpack that would hold all my books. In middle school, I used a camping backpack, by high school I invested in Jansports, which could hold 80 lbs of stuff. Came in handy when I had no time to go to my locker between classes.
