Mar. 6th, 2009 10:48 amI want my hour of sleep this Sunday night, I happen to be an insomniac. Why do we need to switch the clocks? How about year round daylight savings? That would mean that in the middle of winter, where I am it is not dark at 5:00. Yes I know there are kiddies who have to get up early in the middle of Winter, and don't want to go to school in the dark. So how about schools set their clocks an hour forward.
Yes, there will be an extra hour of light at 5:00 PM, but it is light at 5:00 already, and I still have my hour of sleep right now.
Also a little factoid, during the switch to Daylight Savings, there has been found to be an increase in the number of sleep related car accidents.
