Multicat households are familiar with the acclimatization of a new cat. This man, who already had a household full of spicy strays, knew that he couldn't bring home another kitten again. However, we all know that the Cat Distribution System works in mysterious ways, and sometimes our cats at home know better than we do. Because when this man saved a kitten at work, his cats knew just what to do.

Purrhaps it's unlikely that cats are clairvoyant, but sometimes it seems like our cats know what's going to happen before we do. Fortune tellers with floofy tails know that when their cat dad goes off to work in the morning, he may just return with a new kitty addition to the feline tribe back at home.

24 Pawsitively Adorable Pictures of Cats Living Their Best Couch-Pawtato Lives

Posted by Sarah Brown

Ah, the weekend: a sacred time for hoomans to relax and for cats to go full-on caturday couch potato. These fluffballs have truly mastered the art of doing absolutely nothing. As soon as Friday hits, it's straight to the sofa for a two-day stretch of binge-napping, snack-demanding, and passive-aggressively hogging the best spot on the cushions.

No matter how many times you pat the armrest or call their name, that loaf-shaped lump isn't budging. Your cat heard "lazy weekend" and took it as a personal challenge. Exercise? Clawlarious. Productivity? Purrlease. This is a do not disturb unless you're holding treats kind of vibe.

They might lift a single paw in acknowledgment when you walk by or dramatically flop onto their back like a furry fainting Victorian. Occasionally, they'll switch positions just to keep their loaf-to-stretch ratio in check. But overall? Zero intention of moving until Monday.

So let them lounge. After all, someone's gotta keep the couch warm.

27-year-old spoiled younger sister claims her older sister's weird-sounding cat isn't happy, mom war

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

Every cat is wonderfully weird in their own way. Some scream for treats like tiny gremlins, others chirp at bugs in the window, and a few prefer silent stares that speak volumes. Some cats are snugglers, some are lurkers, and some are little acrobats with a flair for feline chaos. And then there are the quiet quackers - like the star of this story. This special floof doesn't meow much, but makes soft, silly sounds when he's content, and only speaks up when something really matters. His hooman doesn't just notice - she celebrates it. Because true cat pawrents know: understanding your cat's quirks is part of the joy of being owned by one.

15+ Wholesome Tales of Humans Who Never Liked Cats - Until One Pawsitively Stole Their Heart

Posted by Blake Seidel

Happy Caturday, feline fam! We grew up in a family with four dogs and only one cat. That essentially made us a dog person. We loved the cat, but the dogs just took up so much more space in our lives that we grew to love them more simply by their numbers. But we got older, moved out and lived on our own as adults, and realized that we missed that feeling of having a pet in our lives.

Our first instinct was to get a doggo, but that just wasn't in the cards. So, hesitantly, we went to a cat shelter and planned on coming back with a kitten - a fresh feline start. We ended up falling in love with a five-year-old cat that was returned for being "too cuddly". As soon as she got home, she crawled right into our laps, and we were sold. Below, you'll find more wholesome tales of humans who never liked cats - until one pawsitively stole their hearts. Enjoy!

'He let me grab him and was just so afraid': Man rescues tiny terrified kitten that was thrown out o

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

One of the things that we love the most about writing for ICHC is that we get to see the best of humanity on a daily basis. We get to see stories of people helping cats, of people saving cats, of people giving cats a second chance at life… just because. Because it's the right thing to do, because they are simply good people who care. But sometimes, for the good people to shine, the bad people need to have their time in the spotlight as well, and the person who threw this kitten out of a car and left it on the highway is definitely one of the bad ones.

It's lucky that this person was out there in time to rescue this kitten, but it is not luck that he did. That was a choice. And it was also the choice of the cars behind him to give this man the time to do what was right and save this little fluffball. There are lots of people out there who are good. It is simply our job to give them the spotlight they deserve and encourage more people to do the same.

The adorable process of Maine Coon kittens growing up from day 1 - 100: Itty bitty cotton balls to a

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

If you have been here long enough, then at this point, you know how much we love Maine Coon cats. We love all cats, let us clear that up first, but the meowjestic Maine Coon… there's just something about them. Maybe it's the fact that before they become their meowjestic selves, they have to grow up, and just like humans, they also go through their awkward phases.

Maine Coons start, of course, as fluffy cotton ball kittens. Their ears and noses and paws are still disproportionately big for them, but it works for them, it's very cute. Then, as you would imagine, Maine Coons become awkward teens. The ears and paws are just a little too big, in a way that is awkwardly noticeable. And then, at the end, Maine Coons the beautiful living room lions that we know them to be. We've seen all of these stages, but we have never seen them purrfectly showcased the way that there are here - in one adorable video.
